Chrysler files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy

For me the first sign that something was wrong with chrysler was their C300 model, obviously "inspired" by bentley cars. The level of that "inspiration" was on a borderline with false representation of chinese cars.

Not claiming that there is a link between bankruptcy and bentley-imitative C300 model, but I had lost my respect to chrysler at that time...

The 300C sold very well for Chrysler. It was based on the older E-Class Benz platform and was very well recieved. The problem for every successfull car they made, they put out crap like the Sebring, Caliber or the Pacifica, which sold poorly. The also counted on Jeep and the Ram pickup to hold the line and when gas hit $4 those had to be discounted deeply.

Does this mean that the warranty on my 300C is no good?

It will be backed by the U.S. government warranty wise in the meantime, I hope that is a good thing, but time will tell. Chrysler will continue under Fiat tutledge in the near future.

Anyone who buys Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Hyundai, BMW, Subaru, VW, Mini, Kia , etc are traitors who led to unemployment in N. America, decline in living standards, give away the future generations and economic might of America and slow decline of American empire !

SAY NO TO TOYOTA !

Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Hyundai, BMW, Subaru all employ Americans at their U.S. plants and some American based suppliers. VW is opening a new U.S. plant and Kia will too soon. I dont fault the foreign transplants a bit. They clearly offered better cars until the last 4 years. The Big 3 lost sight of quailty and what the American consumer wanted. They only provided good trucks until now.

I was a pure Ford buyer until 1989. They lost me as a consumer until last year when I bought a GM model, which is a great car and they have come along way.

I know Kia is going to open a plant just west of Atlanta on the border of Alabama.

Also Benz has a plant in Birmingham, Alabama and Nissan opened a new plant north of Jackson, Mississippi.

The German Daimler AG hydrid bus is a piece of shit, the electric battery system breaks down in less than 1 year and costs close to 1 million dollar a piece of shit for a bus.

There are many excellent American-built cars, trucks and SUV here and GM sold more than 1 million car per month last 2 months in China.

Ford makes an excellent hydrid and is worth the money.

Anyone who buys *** cars (Toyoto, Honda, Nissan, etc) are traitors, commit an act of treason !

i'd have to say a company that produces inferior product, executes inferior monetary sense, and still expects to survive has got another thing coming. unless there's someone to bail them out i suppose.
