Harmless couriosity should not be punished. I think it is crucial to discuss sex with kids. And I don't mean stupid monologues, but actual discussions. Not just sex, but also relationships in general. Are there and boys/girls they like, why do they like them... I believe each parent should work improving on their children's self esteem, courage and common sense.

I'd monitor it if I were a father, but I wouldn't watch over my kid's shoulder. If the boy or girl had questions, I'd answer them, but I wouldn't steer them in any way nor would I condone that which they look at, as long as it's legal amongst adults.
Besides, why condone sex when cartoons like GI Joe, Dragonball Z, the transformers, etc., all contain violence to a certain degree. We've all watched certain series or movies like Rambo, predator and tour of duty, which contained a lot of violence as well. If I had to choose, I'd prefer to see my child watch "no man's land X" or "Robinson Crusoë on sin island" any time.
Besides (again), kids already have access to porn/softporn whenever they want. Just buy a comic of the X-men for instance. All that's missing on the female bodies is nipples shining through the suits and camel toes. Any kid with a bit of fantasy can use that to fulfill it's needs as well, and adults would be unaware of what was going on in their child's mind.

I'd do something like put up a parental blocking app up on the computer and have fun watching them try get round it all.
It is not about a choice between violence and porn, it is about teaching kids to be able to see anything, understand that it is not real and judge each book by its content, no matter whether it's violence, porn or the news.
as an individual who learned about sex at 11 and started watching porn at twelve i think i would absolutely restrict what my child saw on the internet. i know i sound hypocritical but i had no real understanding of the ramifications or meaning of sex. it was just an act to me. within the same year i found porn, started masturbating, learned sex. this was all a lot for me at the time and i would hate to wish for my young perversions to extend to my child. i developed a porn addiction at a young age and still struggle with it today. now obviously my child would learn about sex but i would prefer for them to have a more structured learning of sex than i had.
not to mention my child will be different than most kids my age that i see today, it;s almost like they don;t identify sex and having children in as related. however as i age i'm sure my opinions will too.

why not to recieve pleasure and positive emotions from porn instead of struggling with it? :dunno:
well personally i just feel that their are many better things i could do than look at porn. i often feel like it's a waste of time and sometimes i feel like it's the one part of me i have to hide and for an open person like myself that is terrible. i just never have really accepted that as a facet of myself. it's one of those "short term gain long term loss " things. in the short term i enjoy the relief and pleasure porn brings me , however later in the day i think of the studying i could have done or the time i could have spent with others. but the struggle isn't that bad and i know that when i'm good and ready porn and i will part ways.......thanks for asking.
