just saw it congats to the white sox....i kinda wanted to see the Astros win at least a game..i like Jeff Bagwell and Craig Biggio..i just dont want them to be remember like John Stockton And Karl Malone...great teammates who never won the big one...what are the odds...Red Sox last year White Sox this year...Tampa Bay is probably going to change there name to the Blue Sox and see if that works

I like how people talk about their teams like they were dressed in there uniforms and in the dugout with them. Anyways, yet another pointless "North American" Baseball Series, no drama, another sweep. Maybe next year we can have a repeat, not necessarily with the same teams, of the 2001 Series.

Congrats to the Sox. It was a good Series with some good plays. I was, however, rooting for the 'Stros. I would like to have seen Clemens win another Series before he hangs it up for good.

And as for the two lone dissenting individuals ... it's taken the Houston Astros half as long as the White Sox to reach their first ever World Series. They deserve jsut as much laudatory recognition and praise as well for having an OUTSTANDING team this year. There's NOTHING at all wrong with showing team spirit and being proud of a sports team that manages to take it all the way to the penultimate championshiop. All I read in your two posts are sour grapes and nonsense.

It took every single team member working together and with each other to get us to this place only two teams get to go every year. Both teams deserve praise.

But in the end, only one winnner:

Chicago White Sox.

Congratulations again, Chicago ... you outplayed us and you played the game the way it should be played.

That's what I would have said to you Chick. It was a hell of a season and Chicago won, But only Houston was good enough to make there with the Sox.

I lived in Chicago for 13 years and today I find myself wishing I were back there so I could listen to WSCR - The Score and hear all the talk about the Sox. I'd love to hear all the talk about how the Sox won and how the Cubs, Bears, Bulls, and Blackhawks all still suck...lol. Even though I lived there quite some time, I was never a rabid fan of any of the Chicago teams, but I loved listening to the sports talk radio.

I think maybe I'll log onto the Suntimes website and see what Jay Mariotti has to say today...
