Chevy Volt: Building A BetterTomorrow!

When it comes to the massively taxpayer-subsidized Chevy Volt, spontaneously bursting into flames isn’t a bug; it’s a feature:

I heard a guy say that a 12 hour charge only yields about 25 miles travel distance.

This car was built and funded by the Obama Administration....

No. The car was actually in development long before Obama even had the nomination, let alone was President. But it is true that the Volt and the cars being developed by Tesla and Fisker have all received support and subsidies from the government.

Is the Volt a failure? Time will tell. But I suspect it won't be any bigger (financial) failure than many government funded military and space projects. The V-22 Osprey, anyone? And though I'm not a fan of the Volt, if GM can use it to further the push toward advanced battery development, then it will be a good stepping stone to what is inevitable, especially in the urban market.

Add something of substance to a conversation for once, will ya? And if not, keep your childish comments to yourself. Your shtick has grown tiresome.

While I don't think the general public is as mad about the auto bailouts as you think (in fact I the opposition is going to damage the Republicans in the general election because it's so baldly anti-worker, so by all means promote this, ;) ) the part when he mentions it catching on fire is hilarious. Go GM!
