amperage and voltage are 2 different things. 723 volts could be 1 amp or could be 100. I'm not sure what makes the amperage go up or down, but the voltage alone will not kill you. Maybe someone can explain better.

Yay for global warming... They didnt sell that many yet because we are in a RESCISSION because of people that process thought the same way you do. They are also expensive and the tech isnt far enough along yet. Mostly because we spend so much time studying ways to kill people better instead of how to make better environmentally friendly cars among other things. You know what sucks about people like you? Its that when you want to fuck up the environment even more and celebrate its demise us people with brains have to live on the planet you enjoy fucking up. Seriously. Isn't that the case with allot of sales of allot of things nowadays??
Fossil fuel friendly vehicles have veritably proven to be successful...the overall marketplace sucks now....the Volts numbers and projections shouldn't be any less predisposed to the greater economy.

They're duds and consumers would rather have a vehicle that can go the distance without have the handicap of having to charge their vehicle every 100 or whatever miles.
In response to your finale sentence... do you really think that pulling power off of the grid in order to charge electric vehicles is both cost effective and better for the environment? Sure, if you live in France, Germany or anywhere else nuclear power is prevalent.
It kinda defeats the purpose burning fossil fuels, i.e. coal and natural gas for the purpose of charging cars.

No I think pulling power off of a grid powered by Nuclear power, wind and solar is better than burning coal and oil. All of which exist in the USA but unfortunately because of backwards thinking arent as prevalent as they should be.

Solar and wind are good sources of course, but they not sustainable considering the little relative energy they produce.

I read some time ago that the car dealers in Berkeley, Ca. are limited in the number of electric vehicles they can sell the local dogooders because of issues related to wiping out the grid.
Give me a break! We're talking about something that plugs into a wall socket. Where were all these blackouts when VCR's made their appearance? Where were they when computers were first going into every home? And those were immense numbers. Considering the sales volume of electric cars, do you really believe we're going to have to stock up on candles? Double facepalm for you sir!

From what I have read it seems that Chevy is quite confident in the Volt and that it's doing better than expected. I for one think it's an amazing car for a first generation model and can't wait to see what comes next.

You are correct, sir!! I got no game!! Even a Ferrari wouldn't get me laid. Well, actually, I did have a girlfriend back then but I met her in school and she didn't care what kind of car I drove. But the point is that before I met her and then after we broke up, some of the comments I'd hear from the ladies I'd meet while going out cruising or clubbing were like, "how come you got this car?" "why do you drive this?" The point is that fuel efficient cars do not impress the ladies, in fact most ladies here in South Texas are impressed by trucks.
As for good looking chicks, what guy cares what they drive? She could drive a Pinto for all we care as long as she's hot.
