Obama.. shrugged it off and said the same thing over and over. We need to move past the last 8 years and change this country together. The people can understand that. Not every person in the crowd knows who Ron Paul or Karl Rove even are. Obama isnt some superpolitician, he just knows that people are shallow.. you dont bother them with specifics, you lay out the plan in concise, understandable terms and reassure them.. it's their job to choose the right guy. It's Obama's job to translate that to political magic. Dont confuse your audience more than they already are. We need change. You need democracy. The economy is shit. Dont vote for ME.. that shows selfishness. VOTE FOR CHANGE!
He exploited a precious loophole in politics. Tell people to vote for an ideal instead of a person. The war on terrorism is a war on an ideal. Bruce Wayne putting on a suit and acting the part.. he became the ideal. Obama didnt act smug or conceited.. at every turn he was being humble and slightly sullen regarding the state of things. He drew attention over to change.. and how we needed it. He didnt read the entire length of his plans in exacting.. annoying detail. Blah. He TALKED to the people, and they listened. Dont talk AT people.. talk with feeling. Reassure them. There ya go.
Rinse and repeat and that's every speech he's given at the core of it. Stick to the important issues, ignore the attacks on your character from pessimists, always have the right answer. That's the qualities of a leader at every level.
