It suggests he knew she was dead, and or, had done something to her that he was guilty of, and possibly caused her death.Yeah, I got that impression too. He definitely tried to make it come across like a total accident and that he had almost nothing to do with it at all (even disposing of the body). I think he was trying to keep from implicating himself as much as possible.
DeVries' was right about criminals saying they're innocent for years and suddenly something makes them want to tell someone and feel forgiven. While Patrick only knew him for 6 months, they were doing bonding things and Joran probably wanted his approval.
If I was with someone who went into convulsions, and maybe a coma I wouldn't try to hide them in the mangroves, I'd call for help.
But the part about the boat has to be partially true, he must have gotten rid of her body in the deeper water. Aruba is a coral reef, and the water there is fairly shallow so you need to go out a way. If Daury didn't provide the boat, there still had to be one used and likely she was weighted down.
I understand they refuse to put out a warrant for his arrest a third time.
Also, someone asked about others who had been arrested;
On June 5, Aruban police detained Antonius "Mickey" John and Abraham Jones, former security guards for the nearby Allegro Hotel (which was then closed for renovation), on suspicion of murder and kidnapping.[28] News reports have indicated that part of the reason for their arrest was possible involvement in theft from the Mountain Brook students. According to news reports, the Van der Sloot and Kalpoe statements may have been a factor in the arrests.[29][30]
On June 9, Van der Sloot and the Kalpoe brothers were arrested on suspicion of kidnapping and/or murdering Holloway.[31] Aruban law allows for arrest on "serious suspicion from investigators"; to continue holding the suspect in custody, evidence must be presented at periodic reviews.[32] According to Dompig in a 2006 interview, the focus had been on these three suspects right from the "get-go." Dompig says surveillance of the three began on the third day after Holloway was reported missing and included observation, telephone wire taps, and even monitoring of their e-mail -- but the pressure from Holloway's family caused the police to stop their surveillance before they otherwise would have, and to detain the three.[33] John and Jones were released on June 13.

His father Paul, a judge, had also been arrested on suspicion 18 months ago;
