I'd love to meet the person who wrote the one "allahu akbar" report and do a Jack Bauer style interrogation and find out who came up with the idea of putting that in the story. Like I said it may have been or it may not have been, if it were an "inside job" they're obviously smart enough to use people that fit the part and shout the right things (which I don't believe were shouted at all in any case, or at least I'm sceptical), and if it wasn't an inside job then so be it. Whatever the case. I'm not on the islamist side, but I'm also not on the western side either. I don't trust either groups of leaders.

he was just some scots guy, in a yellow work vest, working at the airport who literally tackled one of these guys when they got out of the burning car & helped the police arrest him

if you wanna be like an egyptian crocodile about this fox that's up to you - but this was done in broad daylight, in front of cctv & thousands of people with thier camera phones
then the guys came out of the burning car, on fire themselves, and were immediately grabbed & arrested

i don't see anything mysterious - at least in the incident itself, then the arrests

If it was muslims, it just seems strange to me, but it could have been. However if it was like I would be inclined to believe, yet another inside job to keep the hype going, it would make sense that it would be in Scotland. Like you said, the Scots aren't particularly invested or involved in the war. Now they are.

from eyewitness accounts they do appear to be being described as asian
& i've just seen a picture, from behind, of one of the guys who's been arrested & he looks like he could be asian

glasgow has the biggest muslim population in scotland ( mostly of pakistani origin)
it also has a history of christian v. christian sectarian violence for well over 100 years and plenty of nutters running around who aren't scared of a bit of ultraviolence

it appears, hopefully, that there have be no / very few injuries
so i just hope that there aren't any problems / riots on the streets tonight

good question - obviously all those nationalities are asian but, in my experience, the term asian tends to be used more in respect of those of indian, pakistani, bangladeshi & sri lankan extraction
for Chinese, Japanese, Taiwanese, Korean or other countries i think the actual country's names are more commonly used

in scotland i would say the majority people of asia descent are likely to be of pakistani origin, then perhaps the next biggest groups would be indian and chinese

The men, aged 28 and 25, were detained in the Paisley area west of Glasgow on Sunday night. They are not thought to be of British origin.

Police have been given more time to question three people held in London.
