first because its Teyarch and still the game is looking good
second,the disappointment of MW2 is gonna make people think this game was the saviour

Yes, I know this. It's set in the cold war era but it's not set in WWII with WWII weapons. The weapons in Black Ops will be more modern like in both Modern Warfare games. This is my point.
I still don't get why people have this sentiment. What expectations were there that Infinity Ward didn't deliver on? You're confusing what people thought would be in the game with what Infinity Ward promised. Unless you're a PC user, there's really no reason NOT to conclude that it's the best in the series so far, and Infinity Ward did a masterful job in including things in the final product that gamers requested. People have been absolutely brutal in regard to the game, but 99% of the issues people have are user created, but the developers catch the flack from it. They came out with a well balanced first person shooter that appeals to the mass market, how could they have done better?
And just out of curiosity, what the fuck was the best game in the series?

i agree they did a very good job but it wasn't upto the expectations and i'm not just deeming them as bad but the expectations were nsky high and maybe that why they didn't meet them
just coming out with a well balaced and mass market doesn't make a game great, a game is great when it is well balanced and offer something very innovative
that why Starcraft 2 is being bashed too
MW2 is a very good game but doesn't deserve 20million
GTA SA which got 22million offered alot of iinnovation and still well balanced
I have played and beaten every Call of Duty game that has come out so far. I will buy Black Ops when it comes out. If the game fails to reach my expectations, from then on I will ask friends to borrow the game or I will get gamefly and check out the games from there.
The original Call of Duty was a good game, but then again, it didn't have any expectations on it. Any Infinity Ward developed Call of Duty since it's inception have been critically acclaimed and by most accounts head and shoulders above the competition. Call of Duty 3 was such a laughable falloff after Call of Duty 2 that it might as well have not been released.
I still don't see what Infinity Ward didn't deliver on with MW2. They did literally everything they said they would, and more. Again you're confusing what people unrealistically expected. To be honest, I've heard only two legitimate complaints about the game, and both of them only apply to how people play the game, not the game itself. I don't know why anyone would say MW2 was a disappointment, because there's literally no evidence that it was. Fanboys will always hype the games up, but that's really an indictment of them rather than the games. I don't get how even the original Modern Warfare could be considered better, especially if you take into account the fact that MW2 is a smoother updated version of MW1.
And perhaps I'm missing something in regard to Starcraft 2, because I've yet to see anything less than a sparkling review.
Bottom line is, there's no reason to say MW2 was a disappointment, unless you personally had unrealistically high expectations.

multiplayer should have been a bit more balanced and its a bit limited compared to other shooters,BFBC2 is a very good example

infinity ward games are very good and this one is too,just saying their expectations set were very high and they fell just short
i didn't mean it as a disappointment but compared to what the expectations were,it didn't just blow them away
