This may not be such a bad idea. According to the stats, there are over 153 000 total members and 44 000 of these are considered "active".

Come On!?! Do you guys even get the slightest sense that our population is that big? I'll bet 75% of even these active members consist of guys who joined and made 1 or 2 posts to take advantage of our IDing services.

I say if it helps server efficiency, flush them out. Heck you can even send them an e-mail asking if they want to keep their account.

If you look on the members list, there are 333 pages' worth of members. 333 pages! The vast majority are, like Artimus pointed out, people who just posted a few things and then probably forgot all about their Freeones account. I know that when I first joined I forgot I had the account for a good 3 weeks. Maybe asking them if they want to keep their accounts wouldn't be a bad idea.

I don't see the point of closing members accounts because they're not active.
If they're not on the board, then they're not using precious bandwith... it won't make any difference.

I think the powers that be should start cracking down on people that bump a bunch of old threads, only to contribute nothing of value to them. I don't have a problem with bumping old stuff, if there's a good reason for it.

On a somewhat related note, can we merge all the "rate this girl" threads together? Seems like one big discussion would be better than having to bump all of them constantly. Edited to add: I just went over to the "talk" section and counted 11 different "rate this girl" threads on the first page. That's just unnecessary, imo.

Amen to that, sister! There should be a whole forum dedicated to "rate this girl" threads. It's not really a "favorite babe" thing, but I also don't think it qualifies as "Freeones Talk" either. Besides, there are enough of those threads floating around that they could easily form a forum on their own.

it's just crazy to point out how crazy other threads are, even if they are crazy and more so, to state the obvious craziness of them.
It just takes up more space on the server, which is crazy and causes everyone to act crazy and post crazy stuff...
