I remember the angle where Valentine and Beefcake kidnapped Matilda,the British Bulldogs mascot.Sammartino and McMahon were doing the announcing and Bruno had to voice concern over Matilda.I truly felt sorry that Bruno had to do stuff like that when he was on the announce team.
He was probably thinking to himself at that moment -“I can’t believe I came back here and I’m doing this bullshit!”.

I listened to Dave Meltzer’s take on Bruno’s death and career.Dave stated that Bruno was estranged from his son,David,because he found out that he was taking steroids.According to Bruno,David was always the main reason that he returned to the ring in the mid-80’s because David asked him and Bruno thought that he would help his son get over with the crowd.That never happened.
Meltzer also stated that Bruno would only travel with a select few in the wrestling business by way of car because he knew the whole locker room was on drugs and he did not want to risk getting getting busted with another wrestler that stashed drugs in a car with him in it.
