I don't think you could ever describe her as a "singer" -- she was a package based on sex appeal and being a teen-ager. Even the computer-generated noise they passed off as her singing was designed to be juvenile-sounding.

She's not fat, and anybody who says so is just doing it to be an ass. But she's brought it on herself because a big part of the look that made her famous was that toned "I'm 16 so I don't have to work out and my body is still killer" look.
