An 11-year-old boy shot his father's pregnant girlfriend in the back of the head while she was lying in bed in their western Pennsylvania farmhouse, then got on the school bus and went to school, authorities said Saturday.

Jordan Brown was charged Saturday as an adult in the shooting death of 26-year-old Kenzie Marie Houk, who was 8 months pregnant.

Until they need one perhaps:dunno:. Maybe his lawyer is presuming the kid innocent & not convicting him BEFORE he sees the evidence as he states. With so many people recently being freed because of DNA evidence(19 in Dallas county Texas alone since 2001) it would be nice if they had a competent Lawyer to defend them. Just because the Police or DA believe a crime happened a certain way doesn't make it so.

I don 't see many fathers training their sons how to kill with butchers' knives,swords,axes,etc... or buying them as Christmas presents & allowing Little Johnny to keep it in his closet or under his bed. Why would they do it with a gun?

Obviously there is going to be a trial and, in America, you are innocent until proven guilty. But, I find it hard to think that this is a coincidence:

The shotgun, which apparently belonged to Brown, is designed for children and such weapons do not have to be registered, Bongivengo said.

That doesn't mean that the kid is automatically guilty, but come on.

Fathers teach their sons how to use knives all the time. My dad taught me how to use a knife when I was young. He also taught me how to use an axe. I don't think that's so rare. It's called camping.

I don't advocate death penalty easily, but this is one case where the guilty (should he be tried in court and convicted) should get the death penalty. Oh and his father should spend a long time in jail for teaching that boy how to shoot and giving him gun to run around with.

My brother in law grew up in a farm where he knew how to shoot a rifle from early age so he can go hunting for turkey with his dad, so I actually don't have problem with teaching kids guns but it's teaching them how to use the gun responsibly like you said that is a major problem. Parents should be liable for their children's action if a crime has been committed with a weapon that the parent purchased and given to the children.
