So far, this is the only info I have read, but it's enough to give me nachus...a good feeling, joy. whatever.
I am a big believer that reproduction is the business of the reproducer...in humans that would be the female.
As a realized creature, we can as a group see that after 3 months the fetus is too viable to abort as a non living human...but I still don't like dictating to a pregnant woman what she can and can't do.
It's not easy to ignore a shot ********, **** snorting braindead pregnant chick in a bar, but...at least abortion in the first trimester isn't the same moral dilemma and it's a woman's business to go for it or not.
And if a Doctor can't transcend his personal beliefs as to abortion and birth control, he needs to step aside as a health care provider.
There is a Hippocratic Oath taken that isn't a "Law", but they are bound by it as much as if it were.
If a medical professional can't give service to the public due to a personal belief they need to get out of the position where they are between health care and a patient.
A pharmacist who won't dispense birth control pills or condoms 'cause they happen to believe in abstinence is not performing the service they are licensed for...if I can't get what I need "over the counter" at Walgreens, I need to go through a Doctor and a pharmacist.
Many have no or limited access to a provider, and it is many times a serious situation if care is denied.
I hope abortion is not a choice denied by the Government either legislating counseling or the performance of it.
And birth control is not up to someone else to decide if you want or need it.
I realize there are many ramifications to the situation, but it ain't really my business to tell a woman what to do.
Or a med professional to decide for us what is ok and what is not.
