Usain is very tall (1M96 ; 6.5 fts), he has longs legs so his stride is geater. Usually, runners with a great stride have a slower cadence. Usain has a cadence as fast as smaller guys, like Tyson Gay.
It means that, by a given time, Usain can take as many steps as other runners but his steps are greater.

Dwain Chambers (5th on today's race) tried Football in an NFL europa Franchise while he was ou of Trak&Field because of doping. He didn't succeed. He next tried rugby and it was not sucessfull either.Usain Bolt would look good running the 100yrd dash in a New Orleans Saints jersey:thefinger.....for all the popularity of TrackNField...he could make CRAZY BIG BUCKS playing in the NFL....:thefinger

Hell, I bet he could actually play pro ball in 2 years. He's also big enough to be a useful blocking WR.....
When he's done with Track, NOBODY will touch the records he sets... not for a loooooong time. He really is a special athlete.
That showboating in the Olympics (though I abhor showboating) was the lasting image of the Olympics...
