I don't really feel like reading the rules, so I just refrain from posting any links or pics whatsoever just to be safe. That, and the fact that I have no idea how to post any links or pics.

I gave up on the rules as soon as I was reprimanded by a mod for "excessive thread bumping" after bumping a thread once. Once.

And, if people post a pic in the middle of a thread here and there we're not likely to say something unless someone takes the piss. Then I'll sig Dirk on them.

Trust me, you don't want me siged on you.

Also, to the OP, people include pictures in the middle of threads by means of a hosting site, not by attaching the pictures. Look at something like pimpandhost.com to do this, as it both allows you to post pictures AND conform to board rules.

Technically, the rule is that only OCSMs and ACOs can attach images in the middle of a thread, but there are times when approved attachments end up in the middle of a thread because they either fall through the cracks and get accidentally approved, or they end up in the middle of a thread as the result of threads merging.

Not threads merging but non OCSMs/ACOs attach/hosting sites pics everyday in threads. how are they accidentally approved?

As lurky said hosting sites are allowed. So you can use them to post in the middle of a thread.

So basically ATTACH = bad if its not the first post

HOSTING SITES = alright under the rules.

The rules state that bumping a thread more than once in a 24-hour period is considered excessive bumping.

Redundant thread.
There is already a Board Rules link at the top of the forum under Announcement.
Please close this thread.

So...only bumping it once is not excessive bumping. Therefore I should not have been reprimanded for it.

It's also considered excessive bumping if you bumped within 24 hours of starting the thread. Basically, you're not supposed to keep posting random crap to keep your post at the top of a section.
