Board question from a simpleton

Can I do a search that generates all the response posts to my own posts?

ie. "Find comment/post replies"

... so that I can get a list of replies to the posts I've made. Haven't found such a function. Cheers. :hatsoff:

That would be cool! And search for when any of your comments are quoted would be good. The nearest I can find, is to search the forum with your own name, but you still have to plough through all the links

I think the only thing you can do is, on your personal page click on "find all of timbo666's posts". It will not give you all of your posts but I think the last few months.

Yeah, I do that sometimes, just for the sake of continuing discussion or jogging my memory.

If you have a Liveleak account, for example, when you've logged in you'll see a link in the top right that says "Comment Replies." When clicked it gives you a list of the comments from people who've responded to the comments you submitted. It's a great system. I suggested it tothe Admin team at FreeOnes when they were looking for new Board features but they still haven't got it. :dunno:

I suggest you take this idea to the Comments & Suggestion section, then you'll get a reply from either a mod or the administrator.

Problem is, sometimes people will respond to you without quoting you... because, for instance, they're posting right underneath your original post and (rightly) assume it's clear they're responding to you.

No search engine will ever link those two posts without a quote, I'm guessing.

Then again, I'm not into the nitty gritty of forum programming, so I dunno, maybe it's possible. And it would be a cool feature, then.
