Early life and education
Blanco was born and raised in Watsonville, CA,[2] along with four ********, by Mexican immigrant parents who worked multiple jobs to support them. She began taking acting and singing classes at a young age, often organizing theatre performances with her ********, then joined the Gordon Hunt Group and The Groundlings for which she performed in multiple stage productions.[3][4] She graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and from Eastern Washington University with a Master of Social Work, in addition to studying Spanish in college. Blanco then worked as a counselor for hospice patients before transitioning to acting.[5] Blanco also trained with Sally Kirkland, John Savage, and Bruce Glover.[6]
