No, no you guys, see, these guys dress up like this for a living! These guys believe in heathenism and satanism and stuff like that. I found it funny because they dress ridiculous and they think they are fucking awesome. Well, yea I should have posted an article or something...I failed.serpentor said:why is this funny
Edit: I also made a big mistake by generalising black metal. Not all black metalers don't dress like this. I know this because I used to listen to black metal years ago(Burzum, Emperor, etc..) and I got out of it because of all the new bands coming out were shite and I got tired of all listening to the older bands stuff. Looking back, I'm glad I broke my black metal journey. I still respect the pioneer bands music, but it is damn hard for me to look back and not laugh now that I'm older!

Its not hilarious but worth a chuckle or two. I can't imagine dressing like that ever day:eek:
I agree- I think it's funny. Not fall-down-on-the-floor laughing funny, but pathetic-funny. I don't begrudge anyone trying to do something theatrical when it comes to rock/metal, but this type of thing might already have been attempted before... ad nauseum.

The best part is the marketing ploy of saying they're into Satanism, heathenism, blah blah blah. If it pisses folks off and stirs controversy, it'll sell tickets n CDs, but I doubt these guys worship much more than Jager.

yeah many black metal bands dress up like that , but not all. Even if they do it's only an image for most of them and i hardly belive they would walk around outside with those outfits , now i dont really know that much about satyricon (i suppose they are)
I like black metal alot but i almost only listen to the older bands , there are a few new ones that i actually like to.
But if they as you say walk around like that for a living i can only agree that it's pathetic
And i also want to withdraw what i said further up the thread about this being not funny and all. It was selfish and i now understand just because it doesnt make me laugh it may bring some laughter to others , sorry angelofdeath
