what the fuck you lookin at?
Do you wear a helmet every time you ride?

NO! I don't care what anyone says...lids are dangerous. If I were on a dirtbike, ATV or a snowmobile, then yes...but out on the road, no lid.

are you talking to me?
yep! without second thought!

I voted yes,

I've seen first hand what happens when head meets pavement

I wear a helmet when I know I will be riding on highways, through downtown, or anything like that. If I am out cruising though around my neighborhood, or through town, then no, I normally won't put on a lid.

I'm a four wheel guy, but I always wear my helmet at the track, and I always wear my seatbelt.

I've replaced 5 windshields since I was 16 from rocks and garbage that got thrown up in the air and cracked my windshield. I'd wear a helmet to keep from swallowing a chunk of asphalt.

I'm in California so helmets are required. When I go down south, say to Myrtle Beach and I see people riding without helmets, it's always a shock to me. It's just strange to see people on bikes without helmets on, because it's just something you don't see in Ca. I'd wear a helmet even if there wasn't a helmet law. My skull is somewhat important to me. Most of the time I just wear a half helmet, but I'd really like to get a full face for highway riding. I've got a Harley, and you don't see too many bad ass harley guys with full face helmets, but I'm the first to admit that I'm not a bad ass Harley guy, and I value my face.

i know i should but helmet is only for the highways. Usually i don't wear a helmet, actually i find it very annoying, i can't hear anything and it blocks my vision tragically.

Thats the way I feel...I have no problem if someone wants to wear a lid,
but don't give me crap because I don't. PA recently repealed there lid law, I guess Mich has not...don't know about Ind., so I guess I need to head East if I want to take a LOOOOOOOONG ride.

Yes everyday, everytime I ride which is everyday just about. As I've said before only a fool wouldn't wear one.

It is law here in Britain to wear a lid and rightly so in my book. When they made it law, the amount of motorcycle death and head injuries fell by 90%.

Indiana has no helmet law though it has been debated I guess. I agree your less likely to die if you where a helmet but then again you are much more likely to break your neck and who wants to live out their days in a hospital bed just stairing at the celing? It all comes down to choice IMHO! Wear one if you want and don't if you don't. It's your life and your decision!

yes my life is important. I always wear a helmet when I ride my bike and also when I ride my uncle's kreidler.

You would think it would be worth it just to keep things out of your face while your riding. I'm sure a bumblebee smacking you in the face wouldn't be good and a rock that gets chucked up from the car in front of you would be worse still. Although I would like it with an extra large visor area because I have good peripheral vision and it bothers me when any of it is blocked.

YEP FOR Sure! Lets see professional motorcycle rider's with more experience than 95% riders on the street wear them. Why not you?

Did you see how old those stats are? 1992, 1995. Bikes are much faster these days, health care costs have tripled, more idiots with no experience are buying 180WHP Sportbikes and 800lb Harleys and heading out on the road. It is not the rider fault most of the time in a accident, but many are caused by poor rider skills. A full faced helmet and proper rider gear (armored leather or textile, full length motorcycle pants, good set of riders gloves and over the calf boots) make a big difference in a crash.

:2 cents:
