Well, here is as good a place as any for my first proper post I suppose. :)

Best game ever? It's a tough one. The most recent game(s) that blew me away were Half Life: Orange Box. I've been out of work recently waiting to start my new contract so I played through HL2, HL2E1 and E2 back to back over a week or so....wow, I was just blown away. It's such an immersive collection of games, really gripping.

The thing I like is just how you get attached to characters and everything and how the game is perfectly paced. And the simple puzzles! The people that make them are really clever and innovative I think.

So that is my best game ever at the moment, but to be honest it changes all the time. If I am in a retro mood I'd probably say Sonic The Hedgehog 2 or Metal Gear Solid. And I like a good racing game too.

I'd give a shout out to GTA: San Andreas too. I whiled away many hours on that just chilling out with a motorcycle, the radio cranked up and cruising round the countryside. The freedom was great, I hope the new GTA is the same kind of scale. :)

Tomb Raider 1
God of War
Gran Turismo
Zelda
Shenmue (Dreamcast)

personally the current favorite game is...Company of Heroes
all time favorite...original Mario on the original Nintendo

the strip poker of uplay-istrip.com
i love strip poker video games, used to play the one i found on super-poker.com but the uplay-istrip one is the best ever, and i can play with Sandra Kalermen and it makes me very happy...

Can anyone really pick one game? I'll throw out a couple that come to mind...

Half-Life 2--no intro needed

Final Fantasy VII(PS)--Epic game. This game made me sell my N64 just so I could buy a playstation in order to play it. There's a reason it's had so many spinoffs.

Final Fantasy X(PS2)-- Bigger production values than VII, but it actually had a smaller overall world and cast of characters. A simple (annoying?) character in Tidus grows during the course of the game, and the ending took guts.

Gabriel Knight II (PC)-- one of the last (best) games to actually use real actors, but actually do it well. Just a really good story.

Grand Theft Auto III(PS2)--San Andreas is a better game, but this is the game that changed it all.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic--Probably the best use of the Star Wars license...ever.

Special Operations FOX-HOUND
Final Fantasy VII(PSX) and Metal Gear Solid(PSX) are the best gamer ever, although Metal Gear and Metal Gear Solid Snake qualifies too.
