Best "Saw" Installment?

I just watched all six "Saw" movies. The second one was by far the weakest in the series. The other ones still give me a good chill, with number one and three being the densest of them all.

Other opinions?

Definetly the original Saw. There was no precedence, and it kept you guessing until the end. It was also the one with the best acting. One of my favorites all-time.

I think law enforcement and government should use this series as a base for criminal punishment. As I always say, cruel and unusual punishment for cruel and unusual criminals, and there are a lot of great torture devices that should be in use, IMO.

They do but I did watch the second didn't like it much so I never gave the rest a chance.

I'm not a fan of the series by any stretch of the imagination. I believe I've only seen the first three which was enough to make me stop watching the next instalments altogether. I guess I'll go with the first one, the second was alright, the third was dire.

Cube is better.

I'm seen and own all of them (rent and burn, high five) because I'm an idiot. The first one is by the far the best. Each sequel has been increasingly far fetched and detached from the original. In other words, they've progressively gotten worse.

That's funny. I just watched all of them a few weeks back too. I agree with others that the first is the best and maybe the third one is second best. Five and six were the worst in my opinion.

I actually thought the acting in part 1 was atrocious. It WOULD have been the best one if not for that. Everytime I see the blonde doctor sawing off his leg, the silly look on his face makes me think of Will Ferrell. :1orglaugh
