What was your best of E3 2009? Worst?

Best:

Bayonetta - Stylish as fuck.
Batman Arkham Asylum - A good Batman game?
The Saboteur - Love the black and white look.
Scribblenauts - Previews of this game make it seem hilarious and amazing.
Metroid: Other M - A new hardcore Metroid from Team Ninja!

Worst:
Wii Vitality Sensor

I'm indifferent on Sony and Microsoft's motion controllers. I need to see some more finished stuff first.
 
I liked the coverage for MW2. Also the live demo of FFXIII was fuckin tight! Not the one I posted in the other thread, but there was a battle scene toward the beginning of the game they showed.
 
The best games I saw during the press conferences were:

Modern Warfare 2
Splinter Cell: Conviction
Assassin's Creed 2
The Saboteur
Final Fantasy XIII
God of War III
 
i didn't see everything ...but i saw quite a bit of E3.

i think Uncharted 2 got me the most excited. Assassin's Creed 2 looked really good, as did God of War 3.

i was really impressed with the PSP line up, too.
 
Best:

Splinter Cell Conviction (I've been waiting for so long for this one)
Project Natal (if they can reasonably deliver it)

Worst:
Wii Vitality
Sony's Motion Sensor (it just doesn't stack up to Natal and simply comes off as copy-catting)

That does look good, I saw some stuff on it before E3 though. The new Assassins' Creed game looks good too, the Renaissance will be a very fun setting.

I think Sony had the best presentation as far as games go. The new PSP is very cool though I'm not shelling out $250 for it. The only disappointment is that there was no price drop on the PS3. Then again, it makes sense not to cut the price just yet, they are doing well in sales in this tough economy.

Sony right now is being absolutely stomped by Microsoft and Nintendo right now in sales. The only thing they're waiting for to drop the price is the technology to get cheaper to produce. Personally, I think they'd be wise to just drop the price now, because they're ******** money right now, and just barely made a profit this past quarter. If they don't remedy this fast, they're going to bankrupt their games division, and quickly.
 
Sony just now starting to break even on every ps3 sold, so they've been hesitant to lower the price. They will probably be profitable soon.

But, they need to lower the price so they can sell games, their real money-maker, in the long run.

They aren't that much behind in total sales, though, 30 million to 22 milliion.

Didn't Sony know about all the other consoles that launched at enourmous prices and failed???

The Jaguar comes to mind! Or was it Neo-Geo gold? Fuck I think they were both way overpriced. The cost of a new PS3 only back 20 years ago paying 600 for a console was unheard of!

It was Neo Geo Gold and the Panasonic 3DO. The Atari Jaguar was $250 when it came out.

I read on IGN.com,there's a rumor coming out of Sony that there's a $100 price cut at the end of August right around Madden 2010 time coming.Thats insane,$100? 360 is actually more expensive if u want all the stuff that ps3 has right in 1 box people overlook that. With a full year xbox head start,xbox live and the 1st system to please the "graphics whores", an 8million console lead isnt much at all especially when people cry over the nonexistant fact that ps3 is SOOOO expensive. Are they forgeting xboxlive is $50 every year?

Ps3's exclusives lineup ***** 360's over the next year and a half by far. Sony's motion controller is unique too which will drive sales when they can implament the things that its capable of in the future.

That's actually an enormous lead, one that probably won't ever be overcome by Sony. Also, consider that the PS3 is ******* in Japan, (compared to the 360), and is being ****** in the States and Europe, where the 360 has, as a result, been able to lower prices.

Thats insane right? Ive been playing videogames for a real long time,got a 360 and a ps3 on day one so in my book everyone is a winner especially us the gamers cause all 3 companies are churning out fun games to enjoy.

The wii is not for me,I'm a graphics whore/hardcore/sports gamer but I respect the hell out of nintendo for what they do for that demographic.
Like I said everyones a winner. Get together for Xbox live or PSn games anyone?
 
One series I'm glad they are remaking is Monkey Island. They are remaking the original Monkey Island and a brand new game for the PC and Wiiware.
