Couple o'thangs... IMHO -
(1) Generally, when we speak of 'large labia' I think we are referring to INNER LABIA (labia minora).
(2) By large, I think by large we are meaning long, i.e., hanging out and down. Generally, yes there are exceptions, when they get 'large,' they get thicker too. Sometimes they are large and thin. But large might mean not so long but shorter and meatier.
(3) The OUTER LABIA (labia majora) are what constitute a 'camel toe.' Those are nice too but not usually what we are referring to in 'large labia.' They don't lend themselves to the games, attention, focus, piercings, and activities that inner labia do.
(4) Some people theorize that the valentine heart symbol is really derived from the inner labia splayed out. I dunno, but when I see the valentine symbol I sure don't think of a heart.
(5) I think there is a special place in hell for plastic surgeons and men who play on women's insecurities about their large inner labia. Some women complain of painful sex because of them but THAT is because they have not found a considerate partner who cherishes those large labia. Anybody who treasures large labia knows how to have sex with that woman without hurting her.
(6) Having this fetish is such a PITA cuz you cannot figure out if a woman will ultimately be exciting to you until you get to the point of having sex.
(7) there is a site out there devoted to 'Sexy Labia' that proposes a theory as to why society is by-and-large fixated on tiny inner labia. It explains that our 'norms' are an offshoot of pornography laws and what magazines like Playboy had to do to avoid confiscations and such. It is well worth the read and sounds lucid enough.
