Irish hands down. I ought to know....I'm one of them. For true Irish, drinking is not just a pastime, it is an art form. Biggest and most prolific drinkers on planet Earth.

Everyone always reckons that their country has the hardest, best drinkers. It all depends on the person. I would have to say though the countries I have been most impressed by their drinking is the UK and Ireland. That put it down well and with fun. But it is all a relative thing.

Examle :On match days, in the Veltins-Arena (Gelsenkirchen, Germany), sells 12,000 (55,000 liters) gallons of beer to the 55,000 fans.

That's not that much. 1 litre per person is roughly 3 beers per person. Assuming only 50% of the people attending the match drink, that's 6 bottles per person. Or 4 pints. That's pretty average. Unless I'm missing something? It's late.

This is silly anyway. Anybody seen Beerfest? It's proof Americans are the best drinkers.

Not wanting to drink with anyone Welsh is a matter of taste and sanity, not a tribute to their prowess.

It seems as though, the Czech's, English and Americans can lay claim to the "best" drinkers.
