What was that HBO movie? Oh yeah, "By the people: the election of Barak Obama." Best black gangster movie ever.

No other film that I've ever seen that made me totally afraid to visit an area like Menace II Society did.

You'll never catch me in Compton or South Central LA EVER!

Harlem Nights

:goodpost: Funny movie...

"..put mommy on the phone....hey, I ain't never coming home..."

(maybe not a direct quote but you get the point...:1orglaugh)

Not sure what you mean in this response BSS but there is an actual movie he's referring to called, 'Across 110th Street'.:dunno:
The movie soundtrack is a Bobby Womack classic song.

I'm partial to American Gangster myself, but I haven't seen most of these movies. Guess I need to update my Netflix Queue.

And I love that Bobby Womack song. Thats my jam.

Some of the movies are entirely on Youtube. 'Strapped,' for instance:

Fredro Starr was funny as fuck in the movie:

I always LOL when I see this scene: I suck ya dick, man...suck on that, you bitch ass trick... :rofl2: We used to watch this back in the day and just LOL all day:

I've seen a lot of these movies, and The Wire as a TV series is still better.:2 cents:

True! The Wire is by far my favorite show of all time. It's one of the few shows that went on for that many seasons, and still ended too soon. Can we get a Wire movie?
