I'm going with Lucy. It was before things just went totally marketed.

I like when she got ***** off the cough medicine. Or whatever the hell it was.

I've gotta go with M*A*S*H. Just about as close to a perfect show as you could get.

I like ****** Matters,but it's too "sugary" if you know what i mean....i prefer ****** guy/married with ******** where they treat eachother like crap. It's way funnier:D

I was a pretty big fan of Roseanne myself. And the Cosby Show. Yes, commence the pudding jokes.

MWC is my all-time favorite.
Then Friends. And Seinfeld. I've seen Seinfeld only once so far, so I put it behind Friends, but Seinfeld was very good too.

I grew up watching this show, Steve Urkel always made me laugh, a bit sugary yep but it was a great show.
As for ****** guy i've seen one or two episode and i didn't like it.
Sorry OBD, it didn't make the final cut. I considered adding 8 more but decided to leave it at a dozen.
Well from the list the only show that i know is friends, but i see this one too much time on tv (generally they use the same episodes two days in a row (in my country) so they **** that sitcom.

For me this is a tossup between All In The ******, Seinfeld, The Honeymooners and Cheers.
I lean towards Seinfeld as being the funniest in terms of pure humor, but All In The ****** made a tremendous societal impact, along with being brilliantly performed and written. So Archie Bunker gets the nod from me.

Channel 4 in the UK used to be one of the great starting grounds for the anarchic & alternative comedy scene. Then along came a chap called Michael Grade as channel 4 controller and dropped it all in favour of 'cheap' imported american sitcoms. I have an immense aversion to such genre so much so that I've only actually seen Married with ******** & Cheers from the above list. So as I've visited the Bull & Finch in Boston as made famous by Cheers, my vote goes to Married with ********.

Vitameatavegamin, Adam. How do you forget that?

And yes, I Love Lucy has to be up near the top. I watched reruns on Nick-at-Nite back in high school. Good, wholesome comedy in every episode. Those were the days.

MAN! This is a tough question because there are / have just been so many great ones.

But, even though the Series Finale sucked more than a Black Hole sucking in a planet ... I gave the edge to Seinfeld.

I gotta go with the nightly news back when George W. Bush was president. Best president for entertaining quotes ever.

As the consummate fan of "The Great One", I voted for The Honeymooners. Two that did not make your list that certainly should have are Barney Miller and Sanford & ***. Matter of subjectivity I suppose....you can't list 'em all.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is the ****, ***. The first couple seasons of The League. Wilfred (although it was originally an Aussie show).
