Best city - Austin, Texas - Without a doubt the hottest strippers in the continental U.S. Oh, and the city is nice also.

Worst - You can find the bad anywhere you go.

Detroit is pretty bad, who knows maybe in a decade or two it will cease to exist and the last person to leave will turn off the lights letting some other city take the mantle of worst.

As for best, I haven’t traveled that much but I have never been to a large city I particularly liked that well, and quite frankly every smaller place I have been to seems to suck lately so who knows.

Ouch!, people that say that, really spend no time down there IMHO. It is not Chicago at all I agree!, if you are looking for a Ruby Tuesday for eats or shop at The Gap, I agree and could care less... It has many great eaterys about 15, World Class sports stadiums, beautiful state of the art opera, a classic broadway play theatre and new symphony hall, Wayne State University, Renovated Detroit Institute of Arts, North American Auto show, many upon many unique bars, Greek town, 3 casino's, countless nightclubs and a slowly reserrecting but small shopping area. Compuware and GM have throw millions of dollars in the town and it is improving every year. i spent all day at the Detroit Arts Fest this weekend and thousand of people filled the streets. It took over 20 years to kill Detroit and it will take another 10 to make it really worth while. Zero chance for it falling off the map, we got a Ben and Jerrys and a Hard Rock Cafe 9)

My :2 cents:

I was exaggerating when I said it would fall off the map. However all those things that you stated about all the attractions and all the money some organizations have thrown into it don't fix the underling problems with the city or other places in Michigan for that matter. It might look nice and pretty, but in the end it is like taking a rusted run down automobile that no longer works and trying to make people think it is fixed by giving it a new paint job. Those are the things politicians like to throw out there to make people believe it is getting better because they are incompetent or unwilling to do what it takes or they don't no what really goes on in reality. Until crime goes down, until more good paying stable jobs that normal people can get come there, and until the standard of living for every person in the city is at a decent level, all the other things will just be window dressing. Until those things can be fixed I don't care how many new sports stadiums, operas, casinos or mega-malls they might add. Worse, things like those often have to be funded by the taxpayers and a lot of them will never see any real benefit to themselves after having to pay for it.

I have lived in Phx and Vegas, recommend both... great clubs, great strip clubs, great food.. but the people in phx are much more friendlier. Here in Vegas the locals here are as friendly cause of the tourist seen.

I've lived in Southern California all my life. Not a major city, but it's still So. Cal. Our air has gotten so bad. I hate it here anymore, and I'm dying to get out, so I can't recomend that one for you. Lot's of people have pretty bad sinus problems out here anymore too as a result of the air quality I guess, myself included. I just had my seventh sinus surgery back in December. Now, I'm an extreme example, but whenever I talk to someone about my experience, the majority of people tell me that they have sinus trouble as well. The only problem with the other places you listed is that the are HOT!

Best City I've ever been to is a tie..Vegas I loved and
a small Ski Resort in Quebec Mont Tremblant...Loved Lisbon, Orlando, Boston and my hometown of Toronto

Worst..I didnt like Windsor Ontario...thought it was gonna be something else

I've lived in New York my whole life and would never live anywhere else. It's the most diverse, vibrant, conveniant, and unpredictable place in the world. Plus it's the only place in america besides maybe Chicago where you can get a decent slice of pizza.

I've only been to 2 US cities, so the choice is quite easy for me...

I liked NYC the best and Las Vegas the least (although I was there off season I guess)...
