Ben Affleck as Batman in the Man of Steel sequel

I think he'll pull it off.

You heard it here first....

I'm inclined to believe you. People were in a flap when Michael Keaton was announced and he made Bruce Wayne/Batman into a relatable and deeper character than had been seen before. Affleck's shown that he has the chops as a director and an actor within his own films and he's no longer a part of vanity projects like that godawful Gigli, so I have some faith that while he may not be what people have grown accustomed to, that he'll give the role his own sense of gravitas and pathos and it will turn out (at the very least) okay.

First awesome fan-made pic

I would rather sign for the return of G Clooney as Batman

I belong to the minority, because I liked "Man Of Steel" very well. But it's a long road to get the class of all the Marvel movies

Some of you are just pathetic. You haven't even seen the fucking movie yet but you're already writing it off and saying that you won't see it. Here's an idea, how about you watch the movie first then decide if you like it or not. Just an idea

Just because people can see a probable train wreck coming doesn't mean they shouldn't worry about it until it happens let along try to divert it while there is still time.

Plus, going to see it would mean paying money for something that's probably going to suck.

He'll probably pleasantly surprise a lot of us just the way Heath Ledger did with the Joker in The Dark Knight.

I think too many people are basing their anger in his casting as Batman on past performances; Daredevil, Jersey Girl, etc. He's never played a bad-ass of Batman's caliber is the problem. Take a look at Bryan Cranston with Breaking Bad though. Did anyone ever think the Dad from Malcolm in the Middle would make for such an incredible Walter White? Not likely.

I'm not crazy about the casting choice, as I would have liked to have seen Josh Brolin or Jim Caviezel instead (since they said they were going for an "older, more grizzled Batman" to contrast against Superman in the part) but I'll give the movie a chance.
