Is it really our fuggin choice to not be single ?

I mean, geesh  , are we each really that great that we get to call all of the shots whether we're single or not ?

• Let me express it in another way - How many of you in serious relationships were actually out on the hunt when you found your true love ? (Internet hookups, not included) - I'm only asking the ones who took it to the streets so to speak, you know, the old fashioned way.

• OK, now, how many of you in current serious relationships found your "squeeze" (e.g. chick, g/f, babe, love, whatever you prefer) by pure happenstance ?

Maybe this requires another poll :o

i've been single for quite awhile, i'm definitely ready for a realationship

I'd have to say being single. I'm 29 and I've had a fair amount of relationships. I can honestly say that I've never had a girlfriend who helped me be a better person, or that I could really count on. Every one of my relationships, I've been the one holding it together, or being there to help keep their chaos and shit straight. The girl has always been a burden instead of a blessing. Pretty sad I know.

A couple times I've heard people say things like "I never would have been able to make it through XYZ without the support of my girl/wife", and that's really awesome, but unfortunately it seems like every gf I've ever had has only made my life more difficult, or caused more drama in my life instead of less. Don't get me wrong I'm going to continue to date, but as far as a serious relationship, I'm not really looking to get locked in to that again.

Even without the casual hookups and no strings attached sex, single is better. I like being alone. Always have. Always will.

Nicely said. Yeah, so how many of you 'procured' your date/woman/hooker/escort/:1orglaugh

:o

Ash - Have you been in a meaningful 1 on 1 relationship ?

If not, it is magical. The "attached strings" only seem to enhance the experience, it's difficult to put into words. :o

However, when the shit hits the proverbial fan and the relationship goes south, it's hell !
You got me on that front.

Well seeing as I'm happily married...yes. Obviously I have a meaningful, loving relationship. But are there days when I wish I was single so I could have my own place/go out and party whenever I want/only have myself to clean up after/have no one to answer to when I make any choices for myself/want to just pick up and relocate without anyone holding me back etc...yes.

I love my hubby, but I also adored being single. :) Some people CAN have the best of both worlds if they're lucky enough to be with the right person. Luckily, I married someone who lets me do pretty much what I want, as long as I'm not cheating with another man, lying or hiding anything. I can jet off to Vegas with the girls, I get my own section of the house thats mine (including my own bedroom, office, bathroom etc), I get to have the job of my dreams, no questions asked...which involves getting naughty with men online...Yep I have it pretty good. :)

as Braveheart would put it...

"FREEDOM!!!!!!!"

being single rules. would not trade it for anything.
I think it is something that every man/woman has to figure out for themself.

Well ya. There is pros to being in jail too. Food, shelter etc. Doesn't mean anybody wants to be there. :1orglaugh

Yes I'm comparing being in a relationship to being in jail.

I can see how many would think that since the most awesome, understanding, and loving woman in the world is already married to ME!!!!:nanner:

Seriously, it's a team effort where you are both on the same team. If you are opponents, you need to reconsider, i.e. GTFO. Good luck!

P.S. I look at porn right in front of her....she knows how I am....'nuff said

I voted for relationship. My girlfriend really is my soulmate, it's like we were destined to meet. In about 4 weeks she's moving in with me and I can wait to start my life with her on a new level.
