Being Single on Valentines Day

Mexican boystown for me, either Matamoros, Reynosa, or the bars along the main strip down Nuevo Progreso, or less likely the boystowns in Nuevo Laredo or Acuna (longer drive and more dangerous) Monterrey would be way out of the question since it's a hell of a longer drive through a Mexican highway where buses have been shot up, stopped, passengers dragged out and never seen again. Awesome adrenaline rush!!!! :tongue:

See in the UK we make such a fuss out of it with advertising, it's in our shops, bars, cinemas, televisions, I think they would paint the adverts on the insides of our eyelids if they could earn a pound out of it. It's quite nice to have a day for romance, god knows how that came out of a brutal murder of gangsters in Chicago garage though!

Maybe I am a sentimental fool who loves a bit of romance along with a Teddy and a chocolate heart, or something shit like that.

I think mates and a bar and get slaughtered, have unprotected sex with the vibrator and wake up in the morning realizing how ugly it is and live with that regret for all my days!

good plan, at least the vibrator won't leave you with a little something extra...i actually really dislike valentines day, i don't see what's so special about treating your girl to something extra nice just like every other couple is doing...i'm not a chick but if i were i'd imagine it would mean a lot more if it was spontaneous for no particular reason without any pressure or expectations. anyway, i haven't been single on v-day in a long time so i dunno what i'd do honestly

You must live in Texas, I have family that live in Donna and Alamo. Reynosa use to be my spot since I was 18, but haven't been since 2005 when the cartel took over. Some friends and I were drinking at this one spot, but I weren't to the pharmacy to grab some R2-D2's (Rohypnol). On my way out, at the crosswalk, a suburban pulled up on a man crossing the street and 3 mojados came out with assault rifles and tore the man to pieces. Everybody scattered, and I ran back to the bar I was at. My friends and I took off and haven't been there since. I've never been to Matamoros, when I was young, my grandmother use to tell us about what happened to Mark Kilroy and we just stayed away from that part.

Personnally, I am single since some time but I don't really consider this day as special, I will be working as usual from 8am till 7pm then go back to home have diner, shower and watch the shield. I have been some speed dating some years ago, all the women were interested in was money not feelings, sorry but I didn't and don't need someone who is tied upon my wallet and who is just being with me for the money.
