Battle of NFL Color Analysts: Aikman vs. Collingsworth vs. Gruden

While I don't agree with absolutely everything he says Collingsworth is by far the best out of those three.

I'd rather listen to senior citizens screw than listen to Phil Simms. I like that Aikman doesn't constantly talk, and he still sees things like a player would. And he'd definitely beat the **** out of Skip Bayless, if he knew he wouldn't get caught - that resonates with me. Collinsworth sounds annoying, but he breaks **** down well. Ditto for Gruden, except he doesn't sound as annoying.

I'll go with Al Michaels. Of the choices offered, I would have to say Gruden.
My favorite of all time was Paul Maguire.

Chris Collingsworth is easily my #1 color man - intelligent, witty, insightful, and informative.
Generally, I find him far more interesting than the others, delivering his on-point commentary in a relaxed/laid-back manner.
As for the others..

Troy Aikman, who imo represents the epitome of "average" as far as sports commentators goes, never offers up anything about the players or the game that I don't already know (i.e. "Captain Obvious").
And finally, there's...

Jon Gruden, whose main purpose on TV seems focused more on perpetuating his caricature/alter ego "Chucky", than enhancing
the broadcast in a meaningful way.
