Holy RIP Batman! The caped crusader's alter ego Bruce Wayne has reached the end of the line, according to writer Grant Morrison.

Like with any comic book death, the hero will be back.

A "fate worse than death" for Bruce Wayne. Could mean anything.

I hope it's not a death, something better.

Then again I don't complain as much as the majority of comic fans.

I thought that "a fate worse than death" would mean that they would make him get married.

Depends on who you marry. Not that Batman hangs around many women.

Yup, killed by his own father. Read about it a couple of weeks ago.

If Nolan makes another Batman movie, I think he should kill him off. I also feel the same way about James Bond.

I heard a lot of people say they didn't enjoy this storyline at all and it was very hard to follow. A lot of people were confused about how it ended and if Batman really died or not and then there was the reappearence of his father, who ended up killing him or something.

I dunno, I haven't read any of it and I'm inbetween comic book stores right now. Hopefully I just summed it all up.

I felt the same way.. until Casino Royale. The card game scenes dragged the movie out way, way longer than necessary IMO,(My initial opinion) but the reboot of the series was very nice. Screw gadgets, screw the idea of a dozen different hotties sitting on Bond's dick in the span of a movie. After setting my ADD aside, I find the casino scenes actually somewhat enjoyable. Movies can slow down the pace if they want to, it's just unexpected these days. People are so used to lightning-fast action and seamless scenes in a constant stream without changing speed.

I loved Casino Royale, but Quantum of Solace was the most mediocre action film of the year, which is terrible when you take into account it was also one of the most expensive.

They need to end it before they ruin it all over again.

I really wish comic writers would stop feeling the need to kill off iconic characters every few years.

Death of Superman, Death of Batman, Death of Captain America, etc.

I'm not sure Batman will be "killed" off. A "fate worse than death" for Bruce Wayne. It could mean anything.

The only way they might start focusing on the stories and characterization is if enough people email them and snail mail them.

Most "death" in comics is for shock value to boost sales.

DC printed so many of the comics for the "death" of Superman, people were giving them away at some conventions.
