It's being alleged the pic was posted by Phad as a spin/guerilla marketing play to give the illusion that more is happening than actually is. Who knows...?
Further duplicity is not the answer...I think the best way to salvage this cocked-up release is to move the file to epiczips for general access; set a reasonable price (at least 50% less than the current, membership-inclusive, ask); refund the early buyers the difference, and watch their sales improve. However, the the more sales you have, the more likely and sooner you're going to see piracy.
If they're happy with their numbers, then I see no reason for Phad to change course but I see no point in further damaging the brand by, again, attempting to create a false impression about the product...So, it's somewhat dubious to me why Phad would post this image (assuming he did). It's just goofy. But assuming he didn't, then it's just a troll trying to mess with the board, but again, to what end? It's not even a good troll if that's what it is.
This whole thing is mutton-headed.
