Looks like it might be good for saving space, if it does indeed not only work, but works for an extended period of time. With the cars being placed automatically, no need for turning room.
Of course, there is always going to be "that one guy" who wants his car immediately and cannot figure out why his car cannot be bought down immediately.
That is when they bring out the neat new feature called "gravity."
