I've always wondered if it's better to have your helicopter pilots side-by-side or sitting behind each other. Russians seem to have it both ways.

Guess it depends on the major use of the Copter. A small attack copter to keep a small profile would likely have front to back. A big cargo or rescue copter where they need to have a lot of room in the back side by side seems best to me. Only my opinion, no real knowledge involved.
