I've never been a Vette fan, except for the '63 split window, and the '67, but these new Vette's do look much nicer then the previous couple of generation's designs, and I will say, it does seem like an affordable way to get as close to a super car as you can. Even the top line Vette is less expensive then a Ferrari, but you still get performance, and street drivability. Lets face it, how likely is it that you would be able to LEGALLY run through the gears on a Ferrari, outside of a track. Now a couple of hours south of me is "Mid Ohio", and I think they open it to the public on occasion, but it has to be a real drain on your patients to have a Ferrari, or Lambo parked in your garage and know you have wait to drive it.

There is a bunch of money in that parking lot. There are some nice looking care too. Where is this located at?
The 288GTO is a great looking Ferrari. The first of the 5 super cars. The very last one produced had an out of sequence serial number, and was personally given the okay, by Enzo himself. It was made for Nicky Lauda, the only 1986 model, and sold for cost. It was Enzo's way, of mending fences with Nicky, after he left Team Ferrari. It went up for auction recently, with all the original paperwork, including the signed invoice bearing Enzo's signature. The only problem is, it has a lot more miles on it then a collectible should. Nicky loved the car so much, he drove it all the time.

The Larz Anderson is in Brookline, MA - where Tom Brady lived, prior to going to the Buccaneers. The first time I went - per the PA Announcer: it is the 2nd biggest Italian car show nationally, outside of one by San Francisco. Today was the fourth time I went, so I only brought my point-and-shoot digital camera. I focused on mainly new (or different) cars, this time. That being said: multiple Aventador STOs, and a couple of Maserati MC20s were there.

Maserati does make some nice looking rides, a few outside of the super car genera too.

The bottom picture is the one I was referring to. A dealership near me had one in a gorgeous midnight blue metallic. It was stunning.

That's $205k American. I really didn't take you for a G-Wagon guy. I always figured you for a fuel efficient, economical compact/mid-size sedan guy. Something that screams, "DON'T NOTICE ME". You know for that kind of cash, you might be able to get a vintage Les Paul, or an old Strat, and a Twin Reverb.

In America, it's a rich soccer *** status symbol. Or a line in a Post Malone tune. I did see a 6x6 version I thought was cool, but I've never been in one, or checked one out up close. I know you're pretty safe in any of the German cars, so that's a good reason to buy one. Especially in America. Lots of cars, mostly being driven by assholes that shouldn't have a license to begin with. That's why I drive a pick up. Not the best, but way better then a little car. Some of these cars nowadays are so small, I would feel safer in a pop can.

Yeah.. Years ago when I was shopping for a sports car - I briefly considered a Honda S2000, and a Mazda Miata. I then thought better against getting something that small, with so many full-size pickup trucks, SUVs, etc. on the roads.. The last accident I was involved in, my Nissan Maxima got rear-ended at a stop light. I was the SIXTH (!) car stopped. A young woman (Iikely on her cell phone) in a Jeep Cherokee hit me.

My wife drives a Honda Accord, her second one. I didn't do the research, but she said they have good safety records, and they run forever. She's got over 140k on this one, and had almost as many on her last one, without having to dump a shitload of cash into them. I would like her next ride to be AWD, but she tends to go in the opposite direction of what I think. I think my next ride will be a mid sized SUV. I don't really need a truck anymore, I just like the size and look of them, plus you sit up higher, which I prefer, probably from all of my years in a semi.
