My mama has informed me that as a child my favourite was risotto. Well, we called in risotto, but it wasn't cheesy like real risotto, so much as it was white rice, cubed chicken and vegetables reduced to thick and stodgy in the pressure cooker with stock and herbs. "Begged" apparently wasn't the right word but apparently I was ill a lot as a child (I don't remember this) but mother knew I was getting better because I asked if we could have a risotto. It's wasn't all that regular because mother liked to keep things varied but it was my favourite. This surprises me because I've assumed curries were always my favourite.
When I discovered KFC as a young teenager, that became what I asked for as a treat, but even then until I started earning and became responsible for my own meal choices it was very occasional. In fact I don't think I would have had it other than on my birthday for a good few years. Actually, I don't think if I've had it now since my last birthday...
