Stallone sounds like he has marbles in his mouth when talking and the crying scene in the first Rambo movie [towards the end] when he's talking to Troutman about his life in the past in Nam, well, fuck you needed subtitles for that scene on the first viewing. Stallone bubbling like a baby and trying to talk with a mouthful of marbles at the same time lol.
I've never had a problem understanding Stallone in that scene, and frankly- it's a great scene (reminds me of how Stallone was an actor before he became an action hero). "First Blood" (NOT Rambo), was an excellent movie.
Stallone has:
Rocky.
Rocky II.
Rocky III.
Rocky IV.
Rambo.
Rambo II.
Rambo III.
Where as Arnold has:
Conan The Barbarian.
Conan The Destroyer.
Red Sonja [a Conan side story of sorts].
Commando.
Raw Deal.
Red Heat.
Predator.
The Running Man.
Total Recall.
The Sixth Day.
Colateral Damage.
Terminator.
Terminator 2.
Terminator 3.
Eraser.
Jingle All The Way.
End of Days.
Oh boy did you leave out a ton of stuff. Especially for Stallone. I'd recommend you go back and watch "Lords of Flatbush", "F.I.S.T", or "Paradise Alley" from early in his career. You also left off the amazingly good "Copland", for which Stallone got fat to play a deaf, mild mannered sheriff.
Over all Arnold has a better selection of movies. And he isn't milking all of his big hits like Stallone is doing. There could easily be sequel after sequel to a few of Arnolds movies. But he isn't as desperate as Stallone. Stallone is beating a dead horse as far as his Rocky series goes. And he should have left Rambo at IV not making a number 5 as well now. Fuck that. The ending to four was a ncie way of rounding the series up and finishing it off. Stallone is a washed up BUM that needs to milk the past in order to progress.
Jingle All The Way is way better than Stallone's effort of Stop Or My Mom Will Shoot. Jingle has the lovely Rita Wilson in it and the comedy and oneliners is better too.
WTF does Rita Wilson have to do with whether Stallone or Schwarzenegger is better? Stallone has acted alongside Marissa Tomei, who won an oscar in a comedy. So?
Stallone is a washed up bum because he decided to do a few movies to put an end to some of his more famous franchises? More Rambo movies is no more ridiculous than the Arnold-less terminator flood we've gotten recently or Bruce Willis making that awful "Live Free or Die Hard".
Arnold is also not making movies because... uhh... he's been governor of California for a few years now. That doesn't lend itself to a lot of free time.
Arnold has about three duds in his career. Hercules In New York. Twins. and Junior.
Three... ha... ha ha... BWAH HA HA HA HA HA!
Wow. Aparently, you must be a fan of his recent stuff, which has pretty much been a series of duds. Certainly you're not going to try to pretend that the steaming loaf of crap that was "Last Action Hero" was a hit. "Eraser", "End of Days", the incredibly bad "Collateral Damage".
Where as Stallone has... everything else I didn't mention above.
And yeah, while he's certainly made his awful movies (Stop or my Mom will shoot, Rhinestone, Tango and Cash, etc.), he's done more than the two series of movies, and was once an actual actor. "Oscar" was certainly at least an enjoyable comedy, and "Cliffhanger" was a great flick.
Alas, that said, I still do prefer the Arnold movies that I like to the Stallone films that I like. It's all a matter of opinion in the end, but looking at their acting careers, it's hard to say that Stallone is a washed up bum.
