Are you mad at the usa gas prices???

I would say they raised gas prices because of BP oil spill or maybe they just made the switch to summer treated gas, however I think they raised it cause they can. I noticed it and it could be worse. Remember 2007

what the fuck you lookin at?
Yea gas prices piss me off if I actually stop to think about why it is so fuckin expensive. Its so a select few can live in the lap of luxury plain and simple. There is no other reason for gas to be so god damn expensive! When you consider the oil companies are turning record profits year after year. Last figure I heard a few years ago was 15 billion dollar profit in 1 quarter...I about shit when I heard that. PROFIT as in after all the overhead is cleared.

So usually I just like all the other sheeple and just fill up and don't think about it cause it hurts to think about.

I am so mad i don't get how one day it can be $2.90 a gal and the next day its $3.10 a gal

Tell me, I live in Ca. where the state assembly along with various enviro non profits have made small fortunes off of the back of the working people because of the additional costs attributed to the fraudulent *California specific* fuel formulation.

The whole damned system is a sham and there should be a criminal investigation at once . . but there aren't any representatives in Sacramento, they're all bought and paid for by the special interests.

You bet I'm /\:mad:/\ a d ! :flame: :D

Think on the bright side, Frank, at least you don't have to pay out of pocket
to fuel up Engine 1, Truck 1, Water Tender 1, Brush Patrol 1, USAR 1A & 1B and the battalion rig !!!! :1orglaugh :glugglug:

If we had US - gas prices over here in Germany, everyone would drive a fat 501 cui. - V-8.
We pay about 1,50 EUR. per litre, and the gallon has something like 3,7 litres ...lol :D:D.
So this means EUR. 5,55 per gallon x 1,27 ( 1 EUR = US-$ 1,27 ) = 5,55 x 1,27 = 7,04 US-$ per gallon to pay for premium quality over here.
So whattahell are u talkin about ...??

Thank you that YOU did the calculus, I was to do that.

US gas prizes are nowhere near high enough, they got to rise further.

Get reasonable cars, guys!

If we went to war for oil, I feel very cheated...

I hope gas prices here in the U.S. go above 6$ a gallon and stay there for a long time. It will finally force people to buy more responsible vehicles, and it will force the domestic car makers to invest much more seriously in creating viable and efficient cars for the North American market.

It's not just passenger cars that are the problem...but Semi-trucks and Commercial airplanes are just as bad. Same with little gas mowers.

We can't just address passenger cars we need comprehensive energy overhaul.

I would be in favor of setting up price controls in the U.S. Set the price at $2.50/gal nationwide so that Big Oil's profits get trimmed. Big Oil has no incentive to offer an alternative fuel source. Why would we expect them to bring about their own demise? That doesn't make sense. WE, the Consumer, with the Gov't, need to bring about Big Oil's demise :crash:

The U.S. is the largest consumer of petrol, we need to let our position in the market dictate terms rather than simply let Big Oil fix the price on their terms and continually bend us over.

We no longer have shameless Big Oil men in the Oval Office. We have changed out of the Petrol Regime we stupidly elected into office...We should have a RADICALLY DIFFERENT relationship with Big Oil.

It should be a hostile one. :thefinger

...Shirley, you jest! :1orglaugh You sound like an academician whose deficient in econ 101! Does anybody else want to tell Dirky what would happen if auto fuel prices rose to $6+ a gallon?

..Why are you opposed to the foreign car markets making such a *revolutionary breakthrough* in *viable ultra efficiency, after all, we do share the planet and we are all one hostile world together now (to my dismay BTW), who cares who makes the breakthrough, just MAKE IT A-S-A-P, R-I-G-H-T ? :dunno::confused:

A few thoughts & queries here ~

• R & D is very much underway for ultra energy efficient vehicles, did you not already know that ?

• You apparently forgot to calculate how much less your foodstamps will purchase at the grocer if your silly proposition were to come to fruition. . . comments?

• Crude oil is purchased on a global market price did you not know that ?
You did? OK, I guess you do want the world economy to collapse along with everything else that would ensue . . :ak47:

• Shirley, the joke is on me, you have to be kidding, right?

You read too many automotive manufacturer press releases. R&D has been "underway" since the 70s. Look at where it's gotten us. :dunno:

There is no "market" for Oil price. It is whatever fixed price OPEC decides it will be and, in turn, Big Oil decides what we will pay.

Otherwise, the price would be the same in Kuwaiti as in Kansas, minus the 30 cents in taxes that Kansas assesses.

It is Americans' belief in the sanctity of the "global free market" that is actually ruining our country. There is no "free market." The game is rigged. :wave2:
