Apple or PC ?

PC! If you game it is the only option... The Mac is still way behind in that spot. I am also so use to a PC. when I use my G/F Mac it is weird to some degree...

Well at work it's PC because I have to and at home it's Apple because I bought one because we used to use them at work... I'd have to say that from apart from the gaming limits I've found the Apple to have less problems and issues and run pretty well. Overall my vote goes to the PC simply on price.

Is anyone fairly knowledgeable about new Macs? If a Mac system seems to be running poorly and slower after a couple of recent system upgrades..is there a way to "return to previous settings"...as in go back to a recent version of the Mac system before the upgrades? The upgrades I speak of are the ones that come from Apple...basically.

Any help here or in PM would be appreciated.

You should always repair disk permissions after installing new software or upgrades. Applications>Utilities>Disk Utility (Just do "Repair" as there is no need to "Verify".)

For real technical advice about your specific issue, I'd go to apple.com>Support>"your OS version">Forums

You should already have a computer maintenance program: use the free Onyx from Titanium Software. I run it once a week. If you've never cleaned out your system, this alone can work wonders for speed.

I admit, MS is in reality a crappy company with crappy products, but I think they are still better than Apple.

Its not that PC is better -- theres just tons more 'ware available for it...MAC is the better and more stable system, but Id still get a PC

Does anybody here who has a Mac (OS-X G5) sometimes have trouble powering up after plugging into a different location in the home ?

Have you ever seen and or heard a (120v U.S.) spark jump as you plug in ?

Thanks ! ~
