I think it's bordering on a worldwide disease at this point. I have friends who were extremely happy with their iPhones and the AT&T coverage in this area and still they waited online to get the new one.
It's so Pavlovian that it's fucking scary. Odd behavior for a people in a nation and planet going through a harsh recession. Hell, it'd be odd, scary behavior in any economic climate.

This is one of the main reasons that I haven't upgraded to the new iPhone yet. My *******, who is a lefty like me, has had problems with reception on his phone. If you hold it a certain way, it won't happen.
How the fuck does something like this not show up during testing? Are they even testing their products? It's staggering that such a high profile product from such a high profile company can have such an obvious flaw in its design. It literally has a built-in flaw that prohibits the device from being used properly. It's like buying a car than can't turn left. Wow, high five for Apple...
I'd give anything to spend a month with Apple's marketing department.
