Anyone old enough to remember when Rap Music was good?

Rey C.

Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
I like Moonlight Mile too (just aren't that many songs from their earlier work that I don't like). But it and Sister Morphine (also from Sticky Fingers) kind of bring me down - same with As Tears Go By (how did a couple of guys in their early 20's write a "mature" song like that?!).

The Boys were at their best (IMO) when they did renditions of old country and blues classics. See, that's real people music. Wanna have some fun? Put on Sweet Virginia or Ventilator Blues after you see me take a couple of drinks from a clear mason jar at a party. I will put on a show that will make the children leave the room and the women folk hide. I only drink once or twice a year at parties now (if that). So it's rare these days. Kind of like The Stones, my "performances" are a lot more spaced out than they used to be.

OK folks, we either gotta hide the 'shine or turn that song off... he's a comin' in the door right now. Ethel, git the youngins' to safety!

Uh oh... too late! :catpopcorn:

Are there any rap songs (or pop songs)... any people who have ever been affected by songs they truly love like that???

Got to scrape the shit right off your shoe!!! :chickendance::wiggle::banger::zombie:
