Anyone have a puppy or watched one?

^ She's adorable! I wouldn't have been able to have left the pound either if I knew what was in store for her. Could you imagine having to be the person who has to euthanize animals? You couldn't pay me enough, I don't know how they do it!

Aside: I know that cats are prone to getting upper respiratory infections when kenneled closely together, is kennel cough sort of a canine equivalent sickness?
What are the meds you're giving her, Amoxicillin?

All in all we're proud of you for taking the initiative to save Kelsi's life, it's too bad that more people can't step up to the plate and do a good deed for our little innocent furry friends.

I couldn't do that either. I would be crying the whole time.

Yes, it's like that. I guess it's pretty common with animals in the shelter. Kelsi's taking Doxycycline. They are pretty big pills, so I cut them in half and try and hide them in meat. Today is her second day on meds. I hope they make her feel better in a day or two. She is coughing pretty bad.

I would take them all in if I had the money and room.

I was thinking that since she likes to chew on your fingers, you could introduce her to those rawhide sticks, you know the ones that are about as big around as your finger or maybe even the smaller ones(?) Those might help keep her occupied...
just a thought.

Shes so cute! I'd love to foster but not sure I could bear to part with them.
As far as bonding just be with her. Our dog we "fostered" I had to put a blanket over the kennel at night. Hope she gets to feelin better and you get some sleep. Try potty pads too or paper train her.

Here's a pic of Kelsi from today. Little bugger moves a lot, she makes it hard to get good pictures.
