Anyone Else Having Issues With Yahoo?

^^You're right it is in all likelihood a local (as in my home network) issue.

Now begins the arduous task of tracking down the problem and dealing with it.

Haven't been able to access my yahoo e-mail address in days.

In fact, none of Yahoo's domains seem to be working at all. At least not on any of my computers.

Your mail is probably hosted on one of Yahoo's new servers. Problems like this have sprung up relatively often since around December of last year. Somebody screwed up installing and updating the servers for some of the new Yahoo features, and it resulted in a DNS error for a bunch of people regionally, meaning region by region. For those unaware, DNS is what is responsible for turning URL addresses, (ie yahoo.com) into IP addresses. Chicago experienced it first, then there were a number of East Coast cities that experienced it. Because it's a DNS error, typing the IP in still should work, but using the URL name usually incurs the problem. I could describe the issue in more detail if you'd like, but it'd be pretty technical, and you'd have to have a strong idea of how DNS works. Bottom line, there's not much you can do to fix it, it's an issue with Yahoo that they'll eventually clear up. In the meantime, if you need access to your mail, you may want to consider fetching it with a POP3 client like Outlook (boo), or Thunderbird.
