Three lullabies in an ancient tongue
I used to fly all the time when I was a *** in my ***'s (he shared the plane with some other guys) Cherokee 180 like this one:
Now, my *** just started lessons in a Diamond DA40 like this one:
I love flying....not the airline cattle-car type but the civil aviation old-school type that can only appreciated by experience. Anyone else share this passion? If so, post your stories here and include a pic of your plane of choice if you've got one.
After flying in the DA40 I have to say that the visibility from the cockpit is so open that it enhances the "I'm flying!" feeling more than anything since I first climbed into a J-3. Sad that "real" flying is slowly becoming a lost art. Stats show that fewer and fewer young people are obtaining their private tickets. That's a huge reason I wanted to make sure my *** had the chance to get his. He's got a long way to go but he's on his way!
