Well in that case. This is a vid my buddy took of it awhile ago:

When you said a 350 twin turbo stuffed into an RX7, I was going to call bullshit on you. But dude, I gotta say, that's some REALLY nice plumbing work!

I've got a 1st gen set up for road racing. Those are nice, light chassis. Great lil cars, IMO. How long have you had that one? Have you scared yourself yet? :D

Face,

Not familiar with snowy conditions are you? Put it this way, rear wheel drive in as little as 6" of fresh snow will see lucky to get out of the driveway, depending.

First time in twenty some years they didn't plow our driveway this year and the cars were all stuck in the garage for two days. It sucked!

When we got hammered just around Christmas up here I can't tell you how many cars I saw stranded/stuck.

Stick shifts work well for when you get stuck too, you just have to rock.

But I tell you, even these lifers up here all act like rookies every year when that fresh first fall comes. :(

I had no problems driving after the 17" snowfall we got here recently in a RWD Ford,no less.:D

Sometimes,it's the driver,not the car.

Not with a 350 V8 twin turbo setup.

I've seen V8 conversions on RX-7's - I've even helped with one. But I hadn't seen a V8 with even one, much less two turbos in an RX-7 V8 conversion, until our buddy here posted that vid clip. There's a HUGE difference in the size of a 5.7 V8 vs. a 1.3 Wankel.

AHHHHH.... MY fault, sir! :hatsoff: I thought you were doubting the TWIN TURBO part instead of the 350 part. I totally read your post wrong, I apologize!

Yeah my BMW kicked ASS in the winter AND I removed the spare tire and scraped out the 62# (I weighed it) of tar from the trunk! So ts was like 80# lighter than it should've been in the rear! Then again, I drift all year (winter just saves me tire tread!), sooooooo....... :dunno:

No problem. :hatsoff:

The challenge of adding turbos is accounting for the plumbing and increased heat. Seems like he got that figured out. Looks like he did a really nice job there. Very impressive!

P.S. I just realized both Bree Olson and Tree-Fiddy are from Fort Wayne. Just so everybody knows how it works, if I make a Gearhead Love Connection, they have to name their first kid after me!

Should I get it? Is the car worth it?

Worth how much $? What kind of shape is it in? Lots of questions before anyone could really answer that.

Isn't that the car like The Saint drove in the TV show from the 60's?

Similar, Maybe? Not sure.

I can pick it up for about 1,000$. The body isn't bad (some repair, but no replace on the body), hasn't run for years and I'd likely drop a totally new everything under the hood. But I get stuff cheap, so other than my time, refurb cost would be about 6,000$.

I think it is a no. Nice car, though.

DONE. Do it!! I had no idea it would cost you that little! I was thinking a lot more in my head after looking at the pictures, lol

Thanks man. It's a pretty simple set up. I said it was a 350 just to keep things simple, but It's actually a 4th gen LS motor. It's an LQ4, which is a 6.0L LS2 only it's an iron block rather than aluminum (less cylinder distortion, more cylinder wall for boring, less block flex/deflection with the iron block etc). It's bored .030 over from 364ci to 370ci, with a stock 3.622" stroke eagle crank, callies compstar rods, custom cr ceramic coated diamand pistons, ARP studs/bolts through out, Lingenfelter ported and polished 317 casting heads (315cfm int. 250cfm exh.), Inconel ex and stainless in valves, cometic HG's, custom crane cam, Lingenfelter ported LS6 IM and TB. Hot side piping consists of a C6 manifold on the drivers side and a 98 f-body manifold on the passenger side that both face forward. They feed into 2.5" schedule 10 SS piping into twin Precision SC60 60mm turbos with 3" outlets that Y into a 4" down pipe.

Also have a built T56 tranny, and an 8.8" IRS out of the 03-04 Cobras out back with 3.55 gears and driveshaft shop axles and driveshaft.

Just a basic build :D

Sure just basic, nothing like ripping the car off the axle at the first stop sing you come to ;)

You're a millionaire aren't you. Or should I just refer to you as Vin Diesel now... You owe me a 10 second care, by the way...:dunno:

Lets not turn this thread into a flame war:thumbsup:

No. I had a Ranger and a Probe (worst car ever produced perhaps?) and anything that could've went wrong with the g'damn Probe went wrong. The Ranger was just all around junky engineering, IMO.

I don't think you guys get nailed like we do up here in the northnorth midwest. Also the shit up here sometimes freezes right away because many times when we get it we are well below freezing.

We got a wet snow on xmas eve and that shit turned to stacks of ice over night, I can't remember how many accidents they reported next day but I think it was well over 300 just in the metro.
