She retired completely for 4 years till she did the 2006 calendar. Even now still doesn't do much other than the yearly calendar and a few interviews where at some point she puts down the adult industry. So as for fading from the scene gracefully I think she did that 4 years ago. Now she just seems bitter for some reason. Even though still gorgeous to boot!
