I have to go with "other" and vote for the "original" scream queen Fay Wray! She proved that women in distress could be oh so sexy! Also Janet Leigh in Psycho comes to mind. Jamie Lee Curtis is the ultimate in modern scream queens, though. (I just found out that Janet Leigh is Jamie Lee Curtis' mother! I never knew that!) I also loved Adrienne Barbeau, in The Fog and Creepshow.
