When Schuyler was rescued by the Coast Guard, his body temperature had dropped to 89 degrees Fahrenheit, which is considered moderate hypothermia, said Dr. Mark Rumbak.
Although it is still presumed that the other three are "missing", I can't help but think what was going on in the mind and body of Nick Schuyler during a near 48 hour order at sea, waiting . . . lamenting . . dehydrating . . chilling . . wondering if (?).
Not to take anything away from the missing three, but it has to take balls of steel to remain perched / balanced atop the bottom of the capsized 21' craft.
Just think about when nightfall would come and you would have no idea if or when large swells were on the way in all of the darkness and still be able to sustain your sanity. Impressive !
I can hardly wait to hear the press conference.
I will reserve commenting on the other three at this time. :angels:
